About
Criminal defense lawyer in McDonough since 2006. University of Virginia School of Law. Former law clerk to the Supreme Court of Virginia and staff attorney at the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
My approach is rigorous and data-driven. I ask the hard questions early. Is a jury trial winnable? Is it worth the risk? Is it the best use of my client's resources? How have this judge and this prosecutor dealt with similar cases? Is rehabilitation an alternative to punishment? The answers decide the strategy, and I share them with the client, even when they are not what the client hoped to hear.
I have defended cases from public intoxication to armed robbery to murder, and argued before every court a Henry County defendant deals with, from the City Court of Hampton to the Supreme Court of Georgia. I also handle family law and injury cases in Henry County Superior Court. I work alone, so the lawyer you talk to on the first call is the lawyer who stands next to you in court.
